Day 5

We went to the clinic in the morning and we did suture practicing on chicken cutlets. Then we went in groups to do surgery’s. We did a spay on a big pup and then sutured her up. It was so so cool. We held the uterus and cut it??!?!? It was weird holding something so warm and living. It was also interesting seeing it as a flank spay. We took care of her in post op and it was nice 🙂 I was so proud of me and my girls :)) Giulia and Mariah and Stephine.

We went to Dr. T’s to celebrate New year. I was the only one who started to dance and it was kinda embarassing, and then the little girls Amaya and Analie stole me and Giulia and we danced and spent time with them. I hung out with the kids Ethan and Ernesto and we set off fireworks. After some dancing and eating food, we went up to the farm ranch and had a fire and drank and set off fireworks and saw across the valley the whole city of San Ignacio light up with fireworks and celebrated the new year :’))

Day 6

We had the cutest New Years at Plancencia beach in Belize 🙂 Thank you Ruben for driving us there and back for a total of 6 hours. Paoula, his girlfriend, is so funny and beautiful. She asked the waiter at breakfast if I can pick the coconuts outside, and they were like sure and I got so excited HAHAHAHA. I picked more with Giulia and I brought our bounty of 4 Home. We got a small cabaña by be beach for Ruben to sleep in, we jumped in the water, bought a blanket from a guy on the beach, bought stuff from the stores on the walking path, found really pretty shells and a bag of cut of ones that me and Giulia rummaged through haha, went snorkeling and crossed to the island, and drank and ate good food. Laying in the sun with Oswaldo, lol, and the girls was a perfect way to spend New Years Day 🙂
