Week 2 in Belize (pt. 1)

June 24, 2019 by Cindy Salazar Leave a Comment

Well, week 2 for me is over now and yesterday was my last day at the Tropical Education Center. I said goodbye to the Belize zoo before I left and to my new friends. That last week we got to visit the Raptor center and that was so amazing to see these birds of prey up close. Very interesting to hear how the whole center was set up and how it started. We even had the chance to see the take-in process for some baby Pygmy owls. It was so inspiring to see all the hard work that was put into that place and how conservation of nature is important to them. It was a good start to my final week at the TEC.
