My name is Ryan Kirchner and I am a recent transfer student to the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. I am currently enrolled as a Food Science major and am looking forward to traveling to France this summer to partake in the Microbiology and Culture of Cheese and Wine Program. This opportunity grants me the freedom to study what I love, and to eat it too, while simultaneously engaging in a new cultural experience. I am beyond excited to see what I can learn about this part of the world and those who live there. When not in class, I work as a per diem Emergency Medical Technician for both Rutgers University and my hometown of Clinton New Jersey. Upon graduating, I hope to enroll into a Physician Assistant program and continue to help others to the best of my ability.
